On April 25 local time, the Ta?ksony Station, the first station building of the Hungary-Serbia Railway constructed by China Railway No.9 Group, was completed and met the conditions for final inspection and acceptance.
The station building, originally constructed in the late 19th century, has an area of approximately 208.86 square meters. In accordance with requirements from the client and the Hungarian Heritage Office, only the ground floor underwent modernization, with doors, windows, and interior and exterior decorations renovated while preserving 90% of the original structure. Following the “repair-as-original” principle, a special team was quickly established to coordinate closely with the design consortium and ensure steady progress.
The Hungary-Serbia Railway is China’s first railway infrastructure project implemented within the EU. Currently, the railbed and tracks have entered the commissioning and testing phase, and the remaining nine station buildings are progressing vigorously according to the construction schedule.
