ecently, after 28 days work, the 610-meter-long Aris emergency road project undertaken by China Railway Seventh Group was officially completed. Namibia's Minister of Transport announced the official opening of the emergency road on site, and the project was covered live by Namibia's national television.
As a key regional emergency rescue project, it adopted high-standard construction plans: an 8.5-meter-wide two-way, two-lane single-surface road with a three-layer graded gravel structure to form a high-strength roadbed; 135 box culverts were embedded throughout the route to establish a comprehensive drainage system. To address the soft subgrade challenges during the rainy season, a 50-centimeter stone replacement method was used to significantly enhance the load-bearing capacity of the foundation.
The completion and operation of the emergency road will significantly strengthen the region's flood response capabilities, open up a lifeline for transportation during the rainy season, and provide strong support for local traffic emergency access. China Railway Seventh Group has earned unanimous praise from the local government, media, and the public for its professional strength and sense of responsibility in overseas infrastructure projects.?
